Her0146 House of the Deer
House of the Deer. Herculaneum. The other deer in Her0146 has twisted his neck to get away from the dogs. You can’t see the deer’s face as well so it is not as disturbing, and makes it more interesting to regard it as an object of art and appreciate the anatomical detail.
